The two Matrice 4 series versions suit different kinds of work. The simplest way to choose is to decide what data you need to bring back.
Start with your required output, then check the current product details and confirm the complete setup with MIRS.
The 4E: mapping and survey capture
The 4E is aimed at precision mapping and survey capture. It carries a wide camera with a mechanical shutter.
Consider it if your end product is a map, a site model or a set of survey images that will be processed later.
- Do you produce maps or progress records of a site?
- Will the images be processed in other software?
- Is visible-light capture the main requirement?

The 4T: inspection, public safety and thermal workflows
The 4T is aimed at inspection, public safety and thermal workflows. It carries a thermal imaging camera.
Consider it if heat information is part of the answer, for instance when checking equipment or supporting a team that works in difficult light.
- Is a temperature or heat view part of your report?
- Will the aircraft support an inspection or response team?
- Do you need to work in conditions where visible light is limited?
Questions that settle it
If you answer yes mostly in the first list, start with the 4E. If the second list fits better, start with the 4T. If both apply, say so in your enquiry, as you may be comparing the two or considering more than one aircraft.
What to confirm with MIRS
Review the current product details, then confirm the version, package contents, accessories, price, delivery and support in a written offer. Compatibility with your software and other equipment also needs confirming.
Where to go next
Read the Matrice 4 series page for the details currently listed, look at the larger Matrice 400 if your needs are different, or compare models side by side. When you are ready, send an enquiry. It is not an order.
Next step
Discuss your setup with MIRS.
Share your application, equipment, quantity and destination.
